Our dental team will always try to save a tooth before they consider removing it.

We normally only recommend an extraction when a tooth is significantly damaged due to trauma or becomes too infected to treat with other dental procedures.

If you do require an extraction, your dentist will do everything possible to thoroughly explain the procedure beforehand and help put you at ease. They will explain why they feel the procedure is necessary and inform you of the replacement options available to you.

Our dentists perform tooth extraction under local anaesthetic, although sedation is also available for any patients who may be nervous about their treatment.
