Here at Appledore we feel that it is important that your entire family is cared for to a high standard, regardless of age. Children should have regular checks and preventive care to allow them to grow up with disease-free mouths, and to ensure they keep their teeth for life.
We offer free checkups to children 10 years and under, as long as one parent is a regular patient at Appledore. The check-up can be any time, however if no parent is registered this free appointment has to be taken on a specific day of the month between the hours of 3pm and 5pm. For up to date information please contact the clinic.
We feel that by involving parents in prevention, we are able to fight against dental disease more successfully. If you have younger children there are toys and books in reception to keep them amused.
Every Appledore patient will have a full examination at their yearly checkups. As well as an examination of your teeth for signs of decay, we also look at the health of your gums and check your jaw joints. Furthermore, all adult patients are checked with the Velsope (oral cancer screening) to assist in the prevention of this disfiguring form of cancer.
Anyone over the age of 65 can have a number of treatments at special rates. This is only applicable Monday to Thursday during the hours of 11am and 3pm. For current information on which treatments this applies to please contact the clinic.
